Fiberon Manufacturing Co. to bring jobs to Columbia, TN

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WTVF) – The new and future 500,000 square foot Fiberon manufacturing facility opened at Columbia on Tuesday. It will create more than 300 full-time jobs over the next five years.

The facility will be built on 130 acres of land and will manufacture PE decking and composite liners. It will include a variety of sustainability practices in its manufacturing processes.

There will be a recycling facility on site to convert waste plastic bales into pellets used in Fiberon products. The building will feature LED lighting, energy efficient windows and energy efficient technology for chillers and air compressors.

In addition to providing jobs in the area, Fiberon is donating $15,000 to the Youth Education Fund, a Maury County-based nonprofit that funds organizations that provide leadership, mentorship, and educational resources to youth in the community.
