KAUKAUNA – A Fox Crossing vintage and antique furniture restoration business is expanding and moving to a new location in Kaukauna.

Harp Gallery Antiques & Vintage Furniture in Fox Crossing plans to move to a new showroom and warehouse in Kaukauna later this year, the company has confirmed.

“We are proud to announce a summer 2022 move to our dream facility,” read a message on the company’s Facebook page.

We will be opening in late summer 2022 at 2101 Progress Way in Kaukauna, said Marketing Director John Melchert.

The property is part of the North Kaukauna Industrial Park development, across I-41, just east of Highway 55.

There will be a grand opening event when the schedule gets firmer, but construction timelines are very loose due to shortages and the like, Melchert said.

The company chose the new site because it was too large for its current building at Fox Crossing. They have found their dream facility in Kaukauna and that puts us in a high traffic area on I-41.

The Harp Gallery opened in 1985 in Appleton and has developed its expert restoration process which combines the experience of craftsmen from different backgrounds including cabinet making, aircraft customization, art, restoration automotive and woodworking, according to a company history on its website.

Their mission statement, “Restore the Past, Preserve the Future,” embodies their process of restoring furniture, artwork and more for modern homes, according to the company.

Recycling vintage furniture saves trees and preserves the existing beautiful old wood.

Many of the best old hardwoods were already cut down and turned into furniture years ago.

Refurbishment of these irreplaceable pieces replaces the felling of more mature hardwood trees in threatened forests, according to the company.

“We look forward to joining the community and getting to know everyone! said Melchert.
